Information:
For two decades, Bluenose reigned over the North Atlantic as a highliner fishing vessel and famous racing schooner. Bluenose II was launched in 1963 and has acted as Nova Scotia’s sailing ambassador ever since. Bluenose II promotes our maritime heritage and maintains a connection to the legacy of Bluenose and the age of sail. It provides the opportunity to experience sailing tradition and serves as a welcoming representative of its home. Bluenose II calls Lunenburg, Nova Scotia home. Lunenburg is famous for its rich maritime history and boasts a working waterfront which continues to this day. Steeped in history, it has been recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site, and remains one of Nova Scotia’s premiere travel destinations. During the sailing season (June to September) Bluenose II takes passengers on harbour cruises, and is open to the public for deck tours. Check the schedule to see where you can find Bluenose II.
